You can post log entries via email and sailmail to SvLogBook.  The emails must be in a particular format in order to extract the information and present it on the website.

Once you have created a User Profile and a Boat Profile you can get a template for posting a log entry by either:

1. Sending an email to "post@svlogbook.com" (without quotes) and "request templates" must be the only thing written in the body of the email.
2. You can see see your templates by clicking on "My Email Templates" in the sub-section below this documentation page.  Note that you will be requested to log in if you have not already done so.

An short automated email will be sent in response with either a "Success" or "Failure" message.  If you have had issues with your Additional Optional Fields (due to incorrect formatting or the like) then it will tell you what fields had trouble and what was the cause of the trouble.

The response email will also tell you how to possibly fix the issues and re-submit/edit the post by including the 'ENTRY' keyword.
